Futuristic vision powers vibrant local firm

Waterpower Engineering

-

Waterpower was founded by Banteer electrician Dan Twomey in 2002.

Dan built his first Hydro Station in 1985 at his own home to provide Electricity for his own home. It was this pioneering spirit of resourcefulness that drove him to start designing and building hydro stations throughout Ireland from Belfast to Kerry.

Waterpower works across three tiers of business - electricity supply, electricity generation and consultancy for renewable energy projects and energy management.

Waterpower can purchase electricity from other small renewable electricity generators on a co-generation basis as well as selling the electricity Waterpower produces itself.

Waterpower enjoys a very large customer base throughout the island of Ireland, due to the broad range of services that they offer. Their services are available to commercial and domestic customers of all sizes.

The company takes great pride in the excellent customer service that they provide.

Waterpower is a one stop shop for all Solar PV projects, and can complete the project from the initial call to connection to the grid. They offer expert advice on all their services, which also include hydro power, rainwater harvesting ( Waterpower is Ireland’s only agent for the Coanda Screen Technology) and energy management.

A BUSINESS FOR THE FUTURE

The people at Waterpower say their business ‘is the future’ - their products are for the future and are essential for businesses and homes to enable them to reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint by generating their own electricity and to be educated in the management of their energy.

Going forward, Waterpower aims to be a leader in the renewable energy field and has the goal of providing 100 per cent green electricity, while they are actively signing up with auto producers to purchase their excess electricity also.

A VIBRANT LOCAL COMPANY

Waterpower is a small, vibrant local company employing local people with a large range of services which are essential for today and for the future with so much emphasis on renewable energy, where they already are industry leaders. Dan and his team of 11 employees are dedicated to the company and to its customers, and always go the extra mile for them.
