Pre-school and after-schools keeps blossoming

Cherryblossoms

-

Started in 2015 with just preschool children, Cherryblossoms has done just that – blossomed – and from its Kanturk base has now spread to Lismire, Kilbrin, Freemount and Newmarket.

This success, Tina says, is down to a fantastic and dedicated staff, and strong community support. However, Tina herself is central to everything Cherryblossoms has achieved.

In 2017 Cherryblossoms opened an afterin the girls school in Kanturk, after successfully winning the contract to provide the service in the school. There they cater for up to 50 children with. They provide a flexible service, including dropping and collecting kids from activites such as drama and dancing.

In 2016 following invitations to local services, Tina was successful in acquiring a room for a service in Lismire National School. “Part of my ethos and values is that children, if at all possible, should grow up in their local community and attend their local school,” she says.

The subsequent opening in Kilbrin has proven very successful, and they provide a wide variety of services to the locality, from breakfast club and after-schools to pre-school and full daycare.

The service in Freemount is a breakfast club and after-schools service, with camps with the possibility of full-time school age care during the holiday periods. This service opened this September along with Lismire and Kilbrin and the response from the families has been phenomenal.
