IRD Duhallow is cognisant of everyone’s responsibility to maintain green practices, and be mindful of the environment. We cannot sacrifice our environment to have a strong economy and IRD Duhallow is mindful of this task, with a team working tirelessly to support our local environment.

Following on from the successful LIFE SAMOK, IRD Duhallow successfully secured its second EU LIFE+ Nature Project in 2014, which commenced in February 2015. The new Allow Project represents an exciting opportunity through which IRD Duhallow will continue working with the community as leaders in sustainable rural development and environmental conservation, bringing a source of economic growth to the region while simultaneously improving the quality of the natural environment for all.
