Kanturk continue undefeated start to season

Kanturk 3-1 Waterloo

KANTURK continued their undefeated start to the season and made it three wins from four after they put on yet another impressive performanc­e last Saturday in Gurteenard against a fired up Waterloo side.

With the game in the balance after 75 minutes the sides were 1-all after Waterloo cancelled out Kyrle Holland’s goal in the first half. Kanturk were able to move up a gear with 2 goals in the last 15 minutes from substitute­s Ross O’Connor and Ian Guiry. It was a real squad performanc­e with the subs the difference between the 2 sides.

Best for Kanturk on the day were Mark O’Dea, Don O’Mahony and Ross O’Connor.

Kanturk AFC U12 Vs Park Utd, Saturday 17th November at Ballyhass Lakes

NAGLIS Vaivada scored the first goal for Kanturk going past two defenders and a great strike to put Kanturk one up.

Alan Kowalski added a second shortly after this, 2-nil againist the run of play.

Park Utd got an undeserved penalty which they scored, 2-1. This gave Park Utd more confidence and they came back at Kanturk and scored again, 2-all.

Jack Finnegan got through on goal and was taken down, and Donnacha O’Leary scored from the spot to make it 3-2 at half time.

Kanturk increased the lead at the start of the 2nd half with a goal from Donnacha O’Leary, 4-2. Park Utd clawed there way back into the game again and the two sides were level again, 4-4 with 10mins to play.

Jack Finnegan scored in the final 5 mins to give Kanturk a deserved lead again and they finished out the game after this. A fantastic game for all involved.
