Taster day for students at Mallow College
MALLOW College of Further Education were delighted to welcome second level students from Davis College, the Patrician Academy, and St Mary’s Secondary School, Youthreach in Mallow, as well as students from Colaiste Mhuire, Buttevant, St. Mary’s, Charleville, and Nagle Rice, Doneraile to their Course Taster event on Thursday, 22nd November.
The students got a chance to choose from and experience a wide range of course tasting sessions throughout the morning. They catered for all interests with tasting options provided in their range of business courses, Hairdressing, Beauty, Complementary Therapy, Security Studies, Computing, Social Studies, Childcare, Animal Care, Nursing Studies, and Sports & Recreation courses.
The students were treated to complimentary food and refreshments in the newly refurbished and decorated canteen.
Three students were rewarded for their presence with some fantastic spot prizes, including a One4all voucher, a hair product hamper and a Dermatologica hamper worth €150.
The College got to showcase its excellent facilities while the teachers got to demonstrate their inclusive and progressive teaching practices.
Mallow College offers a wide range of courses to suit the school leaver. Every course leads to both progression to third level and employment opportunities.
