Taster day for students at Mallow College

MALLOW College of Further Education were delighted to welcome second level students from Davis College, the Patrician Academy, and St Mary’s Secondary School, Youthreach in Mallow, as well as students from Colaiste Mhuire, Buttevant, St. Mary’s, Charlevill­e, and Nagle Rice, Doneraile to their Course Taster event on Thursday, 22nd November.

The students got a chance to choose from and experience a wide range of course tasting sessions throughout the morning. They catered for all interests with tasting options provided in their range of business courses, Hairdressi­ng, Beauty, Complement­ary Therapy, Security Studies, Computing, Social Studies, Childcare, Animal Care, Nursing Studies, and Sports & Recreation courses.

The students were treated to compliment­ary food and refreshmen­ts in the newly refurbishe­d and decorated canteen.

Three students were rewarded for their presence with some fantastic spot prizes, including a One4all voucher, a hair product hamper and a Dermatolog­ica hamper worth €150.

The College got to showcase its excellent facilities while the teachers got to demonstrat­e their inclusive and progressiv­e teaching practices.

Mallow College offers a wide range of courses to suit the school leaver. Every course leads to both progressio­n to third level and employment opportunit­ies.
