Eileen Quinlan

The death occurred on November 22 at Cork University Hospital of Eileen Quinlan (née Galvin).

She was in her 85th year and was a native of Inchigeela and formerly of Glanworth/Fermoy. She was very well known and highly respected locally.

Her popularity was borne out in the very large and represente­d attendance present at Martin Neligan’s Funeral Home for her Funeral on Sunday evening and also at the Requiem Mass at Holy Cross Church Glanworth.

Interment took place to St Dominic’s Cemetery on Monday. To her husband, Edmund (Joe); sons, William, Pat, Eddie, Paul and Joseph; daughers, Helen (Mullen) Veronica (Lawal) and Rosari (Fakehinde); brother, Jimmy; sons-in-law, Owen and Banji; daughtersi­n-law, Helen, Sheila and Monica; 13 grandchild­ren; their husbands and partners; nine great-grandchild­ren; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Edward Victor Gover

The death occurred on Thursday, November 22, of Edmund Victor Gover, ‘Owenmore’ Monadrisha­ne, Kilworth. He was predecease­d by his wife, Linda.

There was a good-sized attendance at the funeral in Ronayne’s Funeral Home Fermoy on Saturday. Cremation Service took place at the Island Crematoriu­m.

To his sister, Diane Cross; extended family; and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Julian McAllen

The death occurred on November 14 of Julian McAllen (née Hunt), Graigie, Kildorrery, and formerly of Ballincoll­ig.

The late Julian is survived by her husband, Jerry; sons, Daniel and James; daughters, Mary, Sandra and Gillian; brothers; sisters; extended family; and friends.

There was a large attendance present at the family home for her funeral on Thursday with removal to St Bartholome­w’s Church, Kildorrery, with Requiem Mass on Saturday. Interment took place to the local cemetery. Sincere sympathy is extended to her family and friends.

Anne Kirke

The death occurred on November 23 of Anne Kirke, Garbally, Bruff, and Croom, County Limerick. The late Ann had been in ill health for a while. She was very popular Principal of the Presentati­on Convent Secondary School in Mitchelsto­wn during the ‘90s.

Her popularity was borne out in the large and represente­d attendance present for her funeral in Daffy’s Funeral Home, Croom, on Saturday evening and also at the Requiem Mass on Sunday in St Mary’s Church, Croom. Burial took place to Reilig Mhuire, Croom. To her father, Kieran; sister, Ciara Nash; brother-inlaw, Noel; nieces, Niamh and Aisling; uncle; relatives; past pupils; neighbours; and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.
