COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Our meetings are held once a month, with the exception of July and August, and at these meetings representatives from various areas speak on behalf of their own part of the parish. The meetings are open to one and all, and we would love to see new faces coming to help plan and prepare events and promote our locality. Coming to a meeting is as simple as offering a voice or carrying information to those in the neighbourhood.

Traditionally people don’t want to attend these meetings ‘in case I get a job to do’, nobody is asked to do anything they do not wish to do, ever. It is basically a discussion forum for ideas on how best to do things for the good of our own place. It would be a great New Year Resolution to attend a meeting and to ensure your own part of the parish is represented.

We would like to thank all those who attend meetings, who help organise the various events in the parish and to those who make each of our events a success. We have active subcommittees who work hard to enhance the atmosphere of our parish. We are very fortunate to operate among kind and generous people who are always on hand to bake, make and give up their time for the good of our community. We would also like to acknowledge and thanks those who work so diligently and with pride to keep our village clean and tidy. Ni Neart Go Cur Le Cheile Thank you.
