- BY JOHN TARRANT

MEMORIES of a great season for Cork Rebel Óg emerged at the presentation of medals at a county function hosted in the Clayton Silversprings Hotel. The commitment of players, club mentors and parents ensured that approximately 6,000 games in the age-bracket 11 to 18 years were played county-wide under the auspices of the Rebel Óg regions in addition to the various blitzes and fun-days from U-10 downwards.

The Development Squads continue to make progress winning inter county tournaments with a number of successes at national level. The Cork U-14A hurlers (2 different teams) captured both the Tony Forristal and Sonny Walsh tournaments, while the U-15 and U-16 football squads as both captured their national tournaments which was the first time this happened in the same season.
