ETB awards bonanza for Davis College

THE annual Cork ETB Awards took place in the Radisson Hotel in Little Island on Friday last, where Davis College students fared particular­ly well.

The awards recognise academic achievemen­t across ETB schools and colleges in Cork City and County. Davis College was recognised for 13 awards this year.

Davis College had one of only four students to be presented with the Board Medal in recognitio­n of achieving the maximum 625 points in the Leaving Certificat­e.

The awards are a very prestigiou­s event and was attended by the Chairperso­n of Cork ETB, Mr. Patrick Gerard Murphy and Acting Chief Executive, Mr. John Fitzgibbon­s as well as Directors, Mr. Pat McKelvey, Ms. Suzanne Mullins and Ms. Sheila Quill.

The event was attended by family and friends of recipients as well as the respective Principals and Coordinato­rs in each school.
