Tony Sherlock
The death occurred on April 9 of Tony Sherlock, 6 O’Neill Crowley Terrace, Mitchelstown.
The late Tony had been in ill health for a while.
He was a popular member of the local community.
A native of Oldcastletown, Kildorrery, he was well-known having been employed at Mitchelstown Creameries up to the time of his retirement.
He was involved in many local groups.
He was very dedicated to St Fanahan’s Well over many years.
He was a volunteer for the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association (PTAA) and was also a volunteer with the local Concern group.
His popularity was borne out in the very large and represented attendance that was present at the removal on Thursday evening from the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin St, to the Parish Church.
This was also the case at the Requiem Mass and burial on Friday.
Members of the local Branch PTAA formed a guard of honour as the cortege made its way to the Parish Church.
Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetery.
To his wife Teresa (née White); son, James; daughters, Mary (Morrissey) and Antoinette (Keane); grandchildren, Liam, AJ, Eoin and Sarah; brother, Michael; sisters, Philomena (Grealish) and Biddy; sons-in-law; brothers-in -law; sister-in-law; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.
Paddy Donegan
The death occurred on April 13 of Paddy Donegan, Mitchelscourt, Mitchelstown after an illness.
The late Paddy was a popular member of the local community.
His popularity was borne out in the large and represented attendance that was present for his Funeral on Tuesday evening at the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street.
This was also the case at the Requiem Mass and burial on Wednesday.
Interment took place to Galbally Cemetery.
To his wife, Nora (née Fenton); daughter, Mary Donegan (Ryan); son-in-law, Adrian Ryan; brothers, John and George; sister, Julie (Devlin); brother-in-law, Jimmy; sisters-in-law, Josie and Catherine; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.
