Ten mark increase in Tidy Towns results

-

KANTURK Tidy Towns committee are happy to announce that steady progress has been made in the 2019 Tidy Towns competition with an increase of 10 marks over our 2018 figure.

Marks were increased in all eight categories in which the competition is marked. A huge thank you to all our volunteers and to the business people of Kanturk who put floral displays outside their premises.

Of course, in the end of the day it’s not so much about the marks, it’s more about having a beautiful town that both residents and visitors alike can enjoy and take pride in.

The tidy towns committee are all volunteers and they need more people to come on board and help them. For the coming year 2020 they plan to have more localised small groups of three or four people who will take care of their own street or road.
