Treat yourself to a night at Toastmasters

SPEAKEASY Toastmasters Club continues its Meeting Season on Thursday night, 31st October in The Hibernian Hotel Mallow at 8.00pm sharp. Though based in Mallow, the Club serves the greater North Cork Area, from Mitchelstown to the Kerry border.

The Duhallow Region has been represented over the years with Club Presidents. Our inaugural President was well known Boherbue resident, Joe O’Connor. In 2014, Liam Flynn of Millstreet wore the President’s chain.

Theresa O’Reilly who hails from Newmarket.

“The wonderful thing about Speakeasy is the diversity of our members, both in terms of personality and geography”, says Theresa.

“As well as acquiring communication skills we can have a banter about local GAA rivalries”.

Theresa believes that the confidence she has gained is as a result of being in Toastmasters. “And, it isn’t just solicitors and sales reps who are in Speakeasy. We have members from all walks of life - from farmers to retired milkmen! I would thoroughly recommend Speakeasy to anyone who wants to learn a valuable skill in an enjoyable fashion”.

Everyone is welcome to come along and attend Speakeasy Meetings. All guests are warmly welcomed and are never obliged to speak unless they wish to do so. On a night of bonfires and tricks, why not treat yourself to an entertaining night out?
