The Willie Dunne week-end will be held in Cois Alla,Centre ,Freemount on THIS Friday November 1st. And Saturday 2nd. On Friday night we have a special Seisiún in aid of Billy O’Brien’s Trip to Africa where he will spend 2 weeks helping to provide badly needed facilities for street children. We have a huge line up of music ,singers and dancers including some of The Kerry Biddy Boys on the night. Tea will be provided at half time. Your support for this very worthy cause would be much appreciate­d. Starting at 8pm. Admission €10.

On Saturday night November 2nd. we have our usual Singing night at 8pm. Everybody welcome and especially all singers and storytelle­rs. Refreshmen­ts will be provided. Admission Free.!!! Please pass the word around. We will have a Polka and Slide,Fiddle workshop with Owen O’Sullivan at a later date. We need names for this workshop as soon as possible please.

The AGM of the Parents Committee will take place on Monday night,NEXT November 4TH at 8.15pm in the playschool. All parents are asked to attend on the night.

Well done to our team who took part in the Know Your Ag Quiz recently in Mallow. Congratula­tions to Michael Curtin, Seamus Murphy, David Fenton and Michael O’ Callaghan who qualified for the National Final which will take place this Friday night at the Avondhu Macra Rally, at the Radisson Blu hotel, Little Island. Best of luck to all involved! Congratula­tions also to our team who took part in the Cork County round of Novice Debating. Team members Karen Ryan, Aoife O’ Connor & Eugene Hough. Well done to all involved. Well done also to Breda Stritch who competed in the Impromptu Public Speaking competitio­n. This weekend all roads lead to the Radisson Blu, Little Island to the Macra Annual Conference/Rally hosted by Avondhu Macra. A busy fun packed weekend ahead where Macra members from all of Ireland will travel to Cork. Check out our facebook page for all the details of the weekend.
