MILLSTREET Vintage Club Car Run hits the beauty of the West Cork countryside this Saturday and Sunday for a two-day trek.

There is plenty of enthusiasm within the Millstreet club, as well as lots of events, great social activity and excellent camaraderie that lends itself to a potent recipe for vintage-car enthusiasts.

Willing participants can head to the destination, Bantry, during the day for an overnight stay at the West Lodge Hotel.

And on Sunday, the cavalcade will depart and set out for a drive over some scenic countryside (weather permitting) before making their way back to Millstreet.

A special hotel rate is available to people taking part in the run, which comprises of bed and breakfast plus a threecourse meal and tea/coffee before departing from the hotel for the drive out on Sunday,

Total cost is €60 per head (an €85 single supplement cost applies).

For further details, contact Luke Hurley on (086) 880 5437.

Millstreet Vintage Club and CART Carriganima hosted a hugely successful tractor run that attracted more than 60 tractors from across Duhallow and Muskerry.

The proceeds from the initiative supported the Carriganima

Rural Transport Bus Service, and perfect weather conditions added to the enjoyment of the day, which saw a bevy of tractors take to the tarmac across picturesque terrain to Drishane Castle and a return to Carriganima.

And at a formal presentation in Carriganima, a cheque for €1177.50 was presented by the Vintage Club to CART.
