Bridge House and Kit Roche’s serve a thriller
THE Blackwater Valley Darts league continued last Friday night and Horgan’s travelled to Kilbrin Social Club for their encounter.
It was the home side who got off to a flyer winning the first three singles. John Lynch overcame Chris Holmes 3-2 in a close one. Mike O’ Connor overcame Adrian Holmes 3-2 in another close game. Alex Mc Carthy defeated Mick Dunlea 3-1.
Robert Harrington defeated Alan Mullane 3-0 to get Horgan’s on the score sheet. Pat Healy defeated Mikey Bowles 3-1 while Patrick Holmes defeated Mick Kennedy 3-0.
Kilbrin led 4 -2 after the singles.
In the doubles there were two close games. Pat Healy and Alex McCarthy overcame Chris and Patrick Holmes 3-2 while Adrian Holmes and Robert Harrington overcame John Lynch and Mike O’ Connor.
The final score was Kilbrin Social Club 5 -3 Horgan’s.
The Bridge House were at home to Kit Roches. This could prove to be a close match and so it was.
Gerry Black defeated Aaron Ryan 3-1, Mark Linehan defeated Brendan Mathews 3-0.
Kevin Linehan overcame Eddie O’Rourke 3-2 in a close game. Sean Mc Gann defeated Raymond Harrington 3-0. Nicky Sherman overcame Daniel Linehan 3-2 in another close one and Chris O’ Toole defeated Damian Carey 3-0.
It was level 3-3 after the singles.
In the doubles Eddie O’Rourke and Brendan Mathews defeated Chris O’Toole and Daniel Linehan 3-0 and Raymond Harrington and Kevin Linehan defeated Gerry Black and Nicky Sherman 3-1.
Final score Bridge House 4 – 4 Kit Roches.
In the other match Corkery’s had an 8-0 victory over Maureen’s.
