MICHAEL O’DRISCOLL RIP

THE death took place on Monday, January 6 at Cork University Hospital of Michael O’Driscoll of Ballyvinit­er.

Michael, a former painting contractor, is survived by his wife Rita, sons Barry and Niall, daughters Sharon and Fiona, brothers, relations, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church at 11.30am on Saturday, January 11 followed by cremation at the Island Crematoriu­m, Ringaskidd­y.

We extend our sincere sympathy to the O’Driscoll family.

ANNIE O’SULLIVAN RIP

THE death took place on Monday, January 13 of Annie O’Sullivan (nèe O’Callaghan) at the Windmill Nursing Home, Churchtown.

From Canon Sheehan Place, Annie came from a very well liked Mallow family. Annie is predecease­d by her husband, Markie, and survived by her son Billy, daughters Mary (Moynihan) and Catherine (Hurley), relations, carers, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Resurrecti­on at 11am on Wednesday, January 15 followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

MICHAEL O’BOYLE RIP

THE death took place on Sunday, January 19 of Michael O’Boyle at his home at Navigation Road.

Formerly of Balla, Co. Mayo, Michael is predecease­d by his wife Dympna and survived by his sons John, Michael, Kevin and Mark, daughter Fiona (Henderson), brothers Paddy and James, relations, neighbours and friends. Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church at 2pm on Wednesday, January 22 followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

PATRICK (PODGE) HOLMES RIP

THERE was deep regret at the news of the passing of Patrick (Podge) Holmes at the Mercy Hospital on Monday, January 20.

From a hugely popular family from Beechwood Park, Patrick is survived by his wife Mary, son Conror, mother Kathleen, brothers Jimmy, Michael, Liam and Noel, relations and many friends. Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church at 11am on Wednesday, January 22 followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

DANIEL MANNIX RIP

THE death took place on Wednesday, January 22 of Daniel Mannix at Mallow General Hospital.

From Dromore Drive. Daniel is predecease­d by his wife Margaret and son Donie and survived by his daughters Kathleen, Brigid, Mary and Margaret, relations and friends. Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Resurrecti­on on Saturday, January 25 followed by burial in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.
