John Lenihan

The death occurred on January 24 of John Linehan, Kylebeg House, Kilworth, at St Patrick’s Community Hospital, Fermoy.

The late John, a popular member of the community, was in his 95th year.

There was a large attendance at the Removal on Sunday evening from Ronayne’s Funeral Home Fermoy to St Martin’s Church Kilworth.

There was also a fine attendance at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday.

Interment took place to Kilcrumper Old Cemetery Fermoy.

To his brother, Jim; nephews; nieces; grandnephe­ws; grandniece­s; relatives; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Richard Barry

The death occurred on January 20 of Richard Barry, Kilworth.

The late Richard was employed up to his retirement at the Met Office in Cork Airport.

He was well known locally and very popular. This was borne out in the large and represente­d attendance at the Removal from Ronayne’s Funeral Home, Fermoy, on Friday evening to St Martin’s Church, Kilworth.

There was also a fine attendance at the Requiem Mass and Burial on Saturday. Interment took place to Kilcrumper New Cemetery, Fermoy.

To his niece, Anne; nephews, Donal, Eugene, Conor and James; grandnephe­ws; grandniece­s; relatives; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Peter Charlton

The death occurred on Januray 20 at St Patrick’s Community Hospital, Fermoy, of Peter Charlton, a native of Kilclough, Kilworth.

The late Peter, in his 95th year, was predecease­d by his wife, Margaret.

There was a large and represente­d attendance at the Removal on Thursday evening from Ronayne’s Funeral Home, Fermoy, to St Martin’s Church, Kilworth.

There was also a fine gathering at the Requiem Mass and burial on Friday.

Interment took place to Kilcrumper Old Cemetery.

To his brother-in-law; sistersin-law; relatives; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Tom Healy

The death occurred after a long illness on January 19 at Marymount Hospice, Cork, of Tom Healy, Cia Sine House, Ballard Araglin.

The late Tom was a relatively young man who was very well known in the Country Music business having had a very successful band, ‘ The Antelopes’ for many years.

He was extremely well known and very popular.

His popularity was borne out in the huge attendance that was present at Ronayne’s Funeral Home on Wednesday evening to St Patrick’s Church, Fermoy.

There was a very large and represente­d attendance at the Requiem Mass and Burial on Thursday.

Interment took place to Kilcrumper New Cemetery.

To his wife, Eileen; daughters, Sinead and Ciara; Sinead’s partner, Shane; brother, Pat and his wife, Teresa; nephew, Patrick and his wife, Karen; their children, Devin and Rian; sister-in-laws, Kathleen and Caroline; brothers-in-law, Michael, Anthony and Eugene; wife; family and extended family; and many friends, including those in the music business, we tender our sincere sympathy.

John Higgins

The death occurred on Janaury 20 at Strawhall Nursing Home of John Higgins, Farrahy, Kildorrery.

The late John was formerly of Rathcormac.

He was predecease­d by his wife, Mary (née O’Flynn).

He was a very popular member of the community in Kildorrery. This was borne out by the very large attendance that was present at the Removal from Hannon’s Funeral, Kildorrery, on Tuesday evening to St Bartholome­w’s Church, and also at the Requiem Mass and Burial on Wednesday.

Interment took place to the local cemetery.

To his sons, William and Colin; daughters-in-law, Marureen and Karen; grandchild­ren, Jack, Niall, Senan and Fiadh; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; relatives; neighbours; and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Rosemary Lehane

The death occurred on January 19 of Rosemary Lehane (née Higgins) of ‘ Timrose Cottage’, Glanworth Road, Mitchelsto­wn, and formerly of Edmonton, London.

There was a good-sized attendance at the Removal at the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street, Mitchelsto­wn on Tuesday evening.

Requiem Mass was held in the Parish Church on Wednesday. Cremation took place at the Island Crematoriu­m, Ringaskidd­y.

To her husband, Tim; sons, Patrick and Danny; daughter, Kathy; step-children, Patricia, Richard and Sean; their family’s brothers, Jimmy, Bobby and Peter; sisters, Linda and Maureen; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; grandchild­ren; daughters-in-law; sons-inlaw; nephew; nieces; relatives; neighbours; and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Mick Dunne

The death occurred unexpected­ly at his residence, Tearmann Ui Chaoimh, on January 18.

The late Mick was a native of Upper Cork Street, Mitchelsto­wn.

He was in his mid-70s. He was a popular member of the local community.

It was Mick’s wish that his body be donated for Medical Research.

There was a memorial gathering at the Chapel of Rest to sympathise with his family on Monday evening.
