The Annual General Meeting of Lismire GAA Club was held in the Community Centre recently. In his opening address, outgoing Chairman Tony McAuliffe thanked all the members who gave up their free time to do work for the club.

In her annual report Club Secretary, Karen Field gave a detailed account of the club’s activities during the year and thanked the officers and members who helped her during her first term of office. Treasurer, Tom Stritch presented a comprehens­ive report of the club finances and emphasised the importance of fundraisin­g in the face of spiralling club running costs.

Following a discussion on various club topics the following officers were elected: Life Presidents Charlie O’Reilly, Con Ahern and Denis Jones; Chairman Maurice Field Vice-Chairman Joe Aherne; Secretary Karen Field; Assistant Secretary Colm Noonan; Treasurer Tom Stritch; Registrar & Membership Officer Sean Duggan; PRO Oliver Kearney; ASAP Officer James O’Neill; Cultural Officer James Moynihan; Children’s Officer Dympna O’Neill; Players Reps Richard Kiely and Mark Field; Duhallow Board Delegates Maurice Field & Joe Aherne; County Board Delegates Maurice Field and Oliver Kearney; Youth Officers: Joe Noonan, Maurice Hayes, Jeremiah O’Neill, Edmund Hayes and Gerdy McSweeney; Football Selectors; James O’Neill, Paddy Sheahan and Tim Aherne. Club Committee: Club officers plus Tony McAuliffe (ex-officio), Pat Bourke and Tim Aherne.

Membership is now open at €30 for Adults and €50 for Family membership. New members welcome.
