Newmarket town now in lockdown
LAST week saw the announcement to even further restrictions to our movement, and the recommendation for older members of the community to ‘cocoon’ themselves at home. The town has been visibly quieter since the announcement, with a lot less traffic on the roads and a lower footfall in town.
It is very encouraging to see that our community, for the large part, are following the advice from the HSE; these efforts will save lives.

NEW SPRING BOXES
The longer evenings and bright spring sunshine we have been experiencing has done a lot to lift spirits locally. This time of year is usually a busy one for the local development association who would be scaling up activities in preparation for the Tidy Town’s competition and our current situation has not hampered their efforts. Last week they installed five new planter boxes around town, adding an extra bit of colour around our streets.
