Michael Howard

The death occured on May 9 of Michael (Mike) Howard, Gortroe, Mitchelsto­wn, after an illness.

The late Mike was very well known. He was employed at Mitchelsto­wn Co- Op for many years.

In an effort to follow best practice and guidelines with COVID-19 regulation­s, his Funeral will be private.

To his brother, John; uncles, John and Willie; relatives; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

James (Jimmy) Geary

The death occurred on May 9 of James (Jimmy) Geary, Garrynoe,

Fermoy, and formerly of Doona, Milford.

The late Jimmy was very well known. Due to Government and HSE advice regarding public gatherings, Jimmy’s Funeral will be held in private.

To his wife, Mary (née Barry); sons, Trevor, Jonathan and Keith; daughters, Doreen, Michelle and Siobhan, Helen, Denise, Sinead; family; 22 grandchild­ren; brothers; sisters; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; nephews; nieces; extended family; relatives and many friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Maurice Moran

The death occurred on May 3 at his residence, Duntaheen Road, Fermoy, of Maurice Moran.

The late Maurice was in his 96th year. He was born in Tipperary in 1925.

He was an Agricultur­al Instructor from 1952 up to his retirement being based in South Kerry.

His wife, Mary Teresa O’Neill, died when she was very young.

He moved back to Fermoy, where he was involved in local community activities. He liked the game of 45, and was a key member of the Fermoy Men’s Club.

His Funeral was held in private in accordance with

Government guidelines for public events. Burial took place to Holy Rosary Cemetery, Midleton.

To his sons, John and Paul; daughters, Helen and Jacinta, Theresa, daughters-in-law; sons-in-law; 14 grandchild­ren; sisters-in-law, Marie Moran and Brid O’Neill; nephews; nieces; relatives; good friend Ita Dempsey; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Nora Donegan

The death occurred on May 5 at her residence in Mitchelsco­urt, Mitchelsto­wn, of Nora Donegan (née Fenton).

The late Nora, a native of

Newtown, Galbally, was predecease­d by her husband, Paddy.

In accordance with Government and HSE guidelines and in the interest of public health and safety, a private Funeral was held.

To her daughter, Mary; sonin-law, Adrian Ryan; brotherin-law; sister-in-law; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours and friends, we tender our sincere sympathy.

Patrick ‘Pat’ McGrath

The death occurred on May 4 at his residence, Castle Close, Carrigtwoh­ill, of Patrick (Pat) McGrath.

The late Pat was very well known.

He was formerly of Knockanevi­n, Mitchelsto­wn.

In accordance with Government and HSE guidelines, and in the interest of public health and safety, a private Funeral was held.

Mass was streamed from St Mary’s Church, Carrigtwoh­ill, with burial to St Mary’s Cemetery.

To his wife, Ellen (née Kirby, Kilbehenny); sons, James, John, Gerard and Paul; grandchild­ren, Ellie, Hannah, Maeve and Aoibhinn; daughters-inlaw, Caitriona, Katriona and Sharon; sister-in-law, Bridget; nephews; nieces; relatives; neighbours; and friends, we tender our sincere support.
