Virgin boost for Millstreet firm
A MILLSTREET-BASED food ingredients firm has got a timely boost from TV company Virgin Media.
The leading connected entertainment provider is helping to support Irish businesses nationwide with their €1 million support fund as part of their #BackingBusiness initiative which includes free on-air advertising including creative, production, profiles across its full schedule covering Virgin Media Channels One, Two and Three.
This week’s selected businesses include Millstreet firm Clover Hill Food Ingredients Ltd who have developed a supermarket friendly retail range to compliment their existing industrially packed range currently marketed to the Irish bakery industry.
Managing Director of Clover Hill Food Ingredients Ltd Dan Buckley is delighted with the boost. “On the back of this campaign, I would hope to raise awareness among Irish consumers of our story and our products thereby creating brand awareness for the Clover Hill name nationally,” he said.
“We can deliver a high-quality product tailored specifically to Irish or even regional tastes within Ireland, developed by Irish bakers & sustaining 40 jobs in an Irish family business.
“The Virgin Media Backing Business Campaign will add the marketing reach that we otherwise could not afford. When we look back in time five years from now, I believe we will see this as the moment an Irish brand was born.”
The Virgin Media #BackingBusiness initiative is designed to underpin the recovery of businesses in response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. All business owners have to do is to send in a short email, outlining who and where they are, some of their main products or services and how they have coped and reinvented themselves through the current crisis. The ideal way to do this is to take a short video by mobile phone (including shots of the business premises). Email submissions to backingbusiness@virginmedia.ie or WhatsApp them to 089 611 1111.
