CHALLENGE

Well known Duhallow referee John Hartnett, Glash and originally from Derrishal,Boherbue will this weekend embark on a novel and no doubt painful experience when he will walk/run on the 19 GAA grounds in Duhallow as a fundraiser for Marymount Hospice.

At each venue his challenge will last for 19 minutes commencing at midnight on this Friday, July 10 at the Glenlara Club grounds at Glashakinl­een before moving on to Rockchapel 1am, Newmarket 2am, Meelin 3am, Freemount 4am, Tullylease 5am, Lismire 6am, Kilbrin 7am, Castlemagn­er 8am, Kanturk 9am, Banteer 10am, Dromtariff­e 11am, St John’s 12 noon, Millstreet 1pm, Cullen 2pm, Knocknagre­e 3pm, Ballydesmo­nd 4pm, Kiskeam 5pm before his final venue Boherbue 6pm.

Your support will be really appreciate­d and hopefully the various clubs will be on hand to greet him on arrival at the venues.

This is a challengin­g ordeal and he should receive a tremendous welcome on arrival in Boherbue, tired and weary but happy to have contribute­d to such a worthy cause.

Kiskeam Developmen­t Associatio­n request your help on this Thursday, July 9 for a big clean up around the village.

The assembly point is the Church yard at 7pm.
