Dairygold milk price for August remains static

DAIRYGOLD has announced there is no change in its base milk price for the month of August, with the company saying that global market supplies are increasing once again.

The price remains unchanged from July at 30.69 cents per litre (cpl), based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat, inclusive of bonuses and VAT.

This equates to an average farm gate milk price of 35.06cpl based on average August milk solids achieved by their suppliers for all milk supplied to Dairygold.

“Global market supplies are building once again and dairy market demand has eased over recent weeks,” read a Dairygold statement.

“As is customary, the board will continue to review milk price on a month by month basis,” it added.
