Glorious weather for First Communions
Sacrament ceremonies take place after four-month Covid delay
A SENSE of occasion added to the enjoyment of Holy Communion in St Patrick’s Church, Millstreet, last Saturday. The special event was delayed for four months owing to the Covid 19 pandemic and due to ongoing restrictions, numbers were limited to attend for two ceremonies.
Bunting and flowers decorated the special day for a truly unforgettable day boosted by glorious sunshine. Children from both the Millstreet Scoil Mhuire Boys National School and Presentation Convent National School were the recipients in the presence of their families and teachers.
The diverse group not only looked beautiful but they sang, read and participated splendidly also in the two ceremonies.
Canon John Fitzgerald was the chief celebrant of the Mass assisted by Fr. Billy Radley
Thanks were extended to teachers for their work in addition to the musical group for their beautiful selection.
