MASS TIMES – On Friday the 25th Station Mass at 8 p.m. On Saturday, September 26, at 10 a.m. and Vigil Mass at 7.30 p.m. On Sunday, September 27, Mass at 8.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. From Monday to Wednesday, September 28, to 30 Mass will be celebrated at midday. Mass on Wednesday will be Old Rite. On Thursday, October 1, morning Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. On Friday, October 2, there will be no morning Mass. Mass will be celebrated at 8 p.m. (Station Mass). On Saturday, October 3, Mass at 10 a.m. Adoration and Benedictio­n of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday after 10 a.m. Mass.

MONTH OF SEPTEMBER – The month of September is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. Feastdays for the coming week. Monday the 28th: St Wenceslau’s, martyr. Tuesday the 29th: Ss. Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, Archangels. Wednesday the 30th: St Jerome, priest. Thursday, October 1: St Thérèse of Lisieux. Friday the 2nd The Guardian Angels. Saturday the 3rd: Bl. Columba Marmion, priest.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION – The parish wishes to extend congratula­tions to the children who received their First Holy Communion this weekend. Many thanks to Hilary Ryan, who prepared the children for First Confession and First Holy Communion also to Paul Cronin Principle and all the teachers of Ballyhea National School.

AUTUMN STATIONS – Because of Coivid-19 the house stations for the autumn will be transferre­d to the church. The Station Areas will be grouped and the Masses held in the church on the Friday evenings in September and October. Stations Masses will be celebrated at 8 p.m.

Ballinadri­deen, Dromin, Ballyroe, Ballynoran and Coolcaum on Friday, September 25; Pruntus, Ardskeagh, Ballylopin, Gurrane, Knightsgro­ve, Glanmore on Friday, October 2; Newtown, Sorrell, Castlewrix­on, Shinana, Ballinagra­th on Friday, October 9; Caher, Imphrick, Lisballyhe­a, Aughaburre­n, Ballyhoura, Loughlea and Glantane on Friday, October 16; Cooline, Rathnacall­y, Milltown, Kiltass, Clonkeen, Fiddane and Shanballa on Friday, October 23.

BAPTISMS – Until further notice, the essential minimum number of persons may attend baptisms.

CHAIRS FOR THE NEW HALL – Many thanks to the generous sponsors for the chairs for the New Hall. There are now 145 sponsored chairs. Sponsorshi­p for the chairs is in the amount of €40 per chair.

WINDOW FUND – Very many thanks for a Gift of €1,000 for the Window Fund

RESUMPTION OF PUBLIC WORSHIP – Every individual is responsibl­e for his or her own safety. For the purpose of Public

Worship individual­s are invited to adhere to the following measures which have been introduced.

Please if possible, wear gloves coming to Mass to avoid direct contact with surfaces, otherwise use the sanitisers provided in the Porch. Please avoid congregati­ng in the Porch.

Please follow the one-way system operating in the church, i.e. Enter by the centre aisle and leave by the side aisles.

Please sit in the seats that are not cordoned off. With the exception of families, individual­s are asked to sit 6ft apart from each other. Approximat­ely three person per seat.

For the distributi­on of Holy Communion, please approach the Altar one seat at a time, while maintainin­g a distance of 6ft from other individual­s.

Please do not stand at the back of the church as it impedes the one-way system. You are kindly asked not to congregate in the church grounds before or after Mass.

You are asked to distribute yourselves between the three weekend Masses so as to accommodat­e current regulation­s.

VENTILATIO­N – Due to current circumstan­ces we shall have to ensure ongoing ventilatio­n in the church for the time being. Please wear warm clothes coming to Mass so as to assist this process.

LOTTO – The club lotto draw was held on Monday, September 14, in the clubhouse with the jackpot at €2,600. Numbers drawn were 18, 19, 33. There was no jackpot winner. Tickets can be purchased from the normal sellers or also from online lotto. Thank you for your continued support.

MEMBERSHIP – Club Membership for Juveniles is €20, Adults €40 and Family €80.

membership is €40 pp. Please ensure Health Questionna­ire is completed before each training session or match. Once you’ve created the Profile you only need to update each time before training. All parents with children under the age of 18 must complete it each time on behalf of their daughter. The Health Questionna­ire can be accessed on GAA website.

Under-6 and under-eight training every Saturday morning at 10.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. in pitch. Please bring your own hurley, helmet and water bottle to every training session. All new members are very welcome.

Ballyhea camogie club are

holding a clothes collection. All clothes, shoes or bags will be much appreciate­d. The money raised will go towards team funds. Drop off of bags can now be done at training as Dressing Room # one in the Old Building is being used to store the bags till collection is arranged. So start collecting any unwanted items.

Ballyhea camogie club has opened its new O’Neill’s online shop. Replica jerseys for adults and children, T-shirts and many more items can be purchased from the comfort of your home.

RESPONSE GROUP

Ballyhea have set up a support group who will do shopping, collect prescripti­on from Doctor or Pharmacy and offer support to anyone who might be feeling vulnerable, isolated, alone or worried in the midst of this health crisis.

Ballyhea Response Group has spoken to some shops and pharmacies already and strict hygiene protocols will be followed (e.g. use of disposable gloves, shopping bag and the pledge to never enter your home). Please have your Doctor’s number on standby along with your Eircode. If you don’t know your Eircode you can let one of the following people know and they will get it for you.
