Éire Óg have what it takes against well regarded Sars

ÉIRE Óg are just one step away from the IAHC final however the small matter of Sarsfields’ second side stand in their way this Sunday in Blarney. The Muskerry men come into this one in flying form with a host of their hurling stars likely to take to the field this weekend also still in the hunt for a senior football crown with the club.

Daniel Goulding and Ciarán Sheehan are the big names likely to represent the club this weekend and while both are synonymous with the larger ball, the pair are more than adept when it comes to the art of hurling.

Sarsfields take to the field this weekend still reeling from the club’s senior hurlers eviction from the PSHC, however, the intermediate side are more than capable of standing on their own two feet and are well-capable of seeing off Éire Óg if the opportunity arises.

Both sides will fancy their chances here and both have the genuine credentials required to not only win this one but also to win this competition outright. Sars will have a couple of players that for one reason or another didn’t play senior this season in their line-up and that will boost their chances however when the dust settles here I expect Éire Óg to have claimed the spoils – little between the sides at the final whistle.

Verdict: Éire Óg
