THE LATE OWEN O’NEILL

The death occurred on February 26 of Owen O’Neill, Ballingurr­ane, Killavulle­n after an illness bravely borne. The late Owen was a native of Banteer. He was a member of the farming community and was well known in GAA circles over the years where he helped out as an umpire for his neighbour friend and referee the late Dave Mellerick. His funeral was held in private in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19). His funeral Mass was held in Annakissa Church on Tuesday followed by Cremation. To his wife Norma, sons Edmund and Owen, grandchild­ren Dara, Conor, Emma, Eabha, Lauren, brother Ned, daughter sin law Katie, Fiona, nephews, nieces relatives neighbours and many friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE FR. JOHN O’BRIEN,

The death occurred on February 18 after a brief illness in London of Fr John O’Brien SCA St Joseph’s Square, Fermoy and Barking London. The late Fr John was very popular and well known in the Fermoy, London and Thurles areas. His funeral arrangemen­ts have not yet been announced. His funeral will be held in private in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19). To his sisters Mary (Cahill) Betty (Higgins- Galvin) Geraldine Twomey, brother Tom, sister in law Sharon, brothers in law Matt, Din Joe and Denis, nephews Brendan, Padraigh, John, Brian, nieces Lisa, Ann, Denise, Deirdre, grandniece­s, grandnephe­ws, his fellow priests in the Pallottine Fathers, Bishop Alan Williams and the priests of Brentwood Diocese London, his parishione­rs in Barking Parish and extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE PADDY HORGAN

The death occurred on February 22 of Paddy Horgan, Blackwater Drive, Mallow and formerly of Doneraile. The late Paddy was retired from Irish Sugar Co. and was very well known in the Mallow and Doneraile areas.

He was predecease­d by his wife Bridie. His funeral was held in private in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19). Requiem Mass was held on Wednesday. To his sons Brian, Pat, Kevin, Aidan daughters Deirdre, Sinead, brother Eamonn, sisters Breda, Bernadette, sons in law Ger and David, daughters in law Jacqueline Eileen, Louise, Patricia, his 20 grandchild­ren, brothers in law William, Jerry, Seamus, Davy, Denis, sisters in law Catherine, Betty, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and wonderful friends in Blackwater Drive we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE MARY GOGGINS

The death occurred on February 23 of Mary Goggins (Nee O’Driscoll), Convamore, Ballyhooly at her residence. The late Mary was predecease­d by her husband Cornelius.

She was a popular member of the local community. Her funeral was held in private in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19).

Requiem Mass was held in the Church of the Nativity Ballyhooly on Friday with burial to Kilathy Cemetery.

To her daughters Mary (Hickey) Margaret (Murph) Liz (Bracken) sons in law Larry and James, grandchild­ren, great grandchild, nephews, nieces relatives neighbours and many friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE RODGER O’HALLORAN

The death occurred suddenly on February 28 at Monty’s Meadow Nursing Home Conna of Rodger O’Halloran. The late Rodger formerly of Tallow and Kilworth was a resident in the home for a number of years. He was well known locally. His funeral was held in private in accordance with Government guidelines and HSE regulation­s regarding public gatherings (Covid 19) Requiem Mass was held on Wednesday in St Catherine’s Church Conna. To his family Eddie, Billy and Jimmy Leahy, Mon O’Callaghan, Paddy Aherne extended family neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE KATHLEEN MALLON

The death occurred on February 16 in Manchester of Kathleen Mallow (Nee Keane) (Cuchie) formerly of 13 Liam Lynch Park Mitchelsto­wn.

Her funeral will be held on Monday March 8 in Manchester. To her husband John, sons Paul, Anthony, Andrew, their families, brothers Mike Fan, Gerard, sister Bridie, extended family and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
