Duhallow GAA look forward to golf classic

A GAA Golf Classic fundraiser in aid of Duhallow GAA takes place in Kanturk Golf Club on Friday/Saturday, May 24/25. The cost for a team of three to enter is €180 and there are some great prizes and a three course meal on offer.

There are opportunities for businesses and individuals to sponsor a tee box at €50 each.

Board Chairman Steven Lynch outlined both Duhallow Senior Hurling and Football teams are looking forward to their respective upcoming County Senior Championships and the Golf hosting is a significant boost.

“Previously, the Classic had generated great enthusiasm within the division prior to participating in both county senior championships.

“We hope that the success of last season’s event will continue, the Golf Classic is being organised to help the Duhallow Board with the substantial team preparations and expenses involved,” he said

“This is our major fundraiser and as a result we are hoping that it will continue to receive the fantastic support it has in the past. It promises to be a great two days for golfers and friends of Duhallow GAA”, said Steven.

Timesheets are available on a first come, first served basis, and with daylight extending at this time of the year, there are ample slots for teams.
