‘Get Wrapping’ for Team Hope Shoebox Appeal – every box counts!

-

Calling all families, schools, clubs and communities, it’s time once again for the annual Team Hope Shoebox Appeal. With an ever-growing need to cheer the lives of needy children in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and Africa, Team Hope says every box counts and is encouraging everyone to get involved.

After beating all expectations to deliver 212,002 shoeboxes last year, the bar is being raised again for 2016 to ensure that even more children experience the joy of receiving a gift-filled shoebox. Team Hope will deliver each shoebox directly into the hands of children whose families typically live on less than €1 per day. For many, it is the only Christmas present they will receive, turning what would otherwise be just another day into something special.

All you have to do is find a spare shoebox, wrap it with Christmas paper and fill it with gifts for a child to write (items for school), wash (hygiene items), wear (small clothing items) or wow (a treat). Attach €4 to cover transport and promotion costs and bring it to a drop off point before November 11th. There are 400 drop off points nationwide including all Axa, FastFit/First Stop branches and Toymaster stores.
