Questions that Marian could have asked

-

1. You say he’s a father, a grandfather, a husband. But what about the families who couldn’t get tickets to see their children compete at the Olympics? As a family so steeped in the Olympic Games, can the Hickey’s not appreciate the concerns expressed by the athletes this week? Do those families not deserve some level of accountability after being deprived of such an important moment? 2. What has Sylviane, who was present at the arrest, told you about the moment she heard the door knock? It’s been suggested that Mr Hickey may have been warned in the moments before the police arrived. Did she speak to you about any of this? 3. Sylviane Hickey is reported to have told police, when they knocked on her hotel room door, that her husband had gone home to Ireland. Is this true? If so, why did she say this? 4. Police in Rio are doing their job by enforcing Brazilian law. Does the family accept that given the amount of evidence that has emerged, there is at least a case to answer. And, even if they disagree with the manner in which it was done and the place in which Mr Hickey is incarcerated, isn’t his arrest warranted at least until they get to the bottom of the issue? 5. Sylviane has travelled extensively with her husband on his business trips, as has their son Fred. And another son Stephan was employed by THG. So has Sylviane or any other member of the family ever met Marcus Evans? Is he a friend of the family? When was the first time Sylviana heard of Marcus Evans and THG?
