Laura’s sexy salsa is so hot, hot, HOT
LAURA WHITMORE received a standing ovation from the crowd on Strictly Come Dancing last night after a performance which was ‘a bit on the raunchy side’ for one of the judges. The 31-year-old TV presenter from Bray danced a Cuban salsa to a track from Moulin Rouge with her Italian dance partner Giovanni Pernice. She dazzled with a series of spins in a glittery flamingo dress and blood-red hair before finishing upside down in her partner’s arms. The judges gave her 30 points (7-77-9), which ranked her the night’s best. ‘It means a lot to my Mum,’ who was watching from the audience, Laura said, after catching her breath.
Len Goodman, who was almost lost for words after a performance he described as being ‘a bit on the raunchy side for me’, said she was a ‘terrific dancer, a lovely dancer and you come out and you go for it. You’re a great dancer – you’ll be here [in the competition] for ages’.
A ‘gobsmacked’ Bruno Tonioli, who gave her nine out of 10, told her she would ‘bring the dead back to life’. He said: ‘This was one of the hottest, sexiest, everything-I-like salsas I have ever seen. You look stunning, your energy was fantastic.
‘The showgirl has got va-va-voom coming out of every pore.’
Before the show Laura said it would be ‘very different to last week, very fast, lots of lifts, and it hurts’. She said: ‘I’m going to try to make it look as elegant as possible but in my head, all I’m going to think is please don’t fall over. Every week I’m trying to learn a little bit more.’
