DUBLIN (2015/16)
Played 14 Won 12 Drawn 2 Lost 0 Average winning margin: eight points
Degree of difficulty:
Park the competitive wasteland that is Leinster and these are the most testing of times. Kerry and Mayo make up the big three with Donegal – the best of the rest – thrown in for good measure. Rating: 9/10
Consistency:
They have effectively lost two games of ball that matter this decade, won four All-Irelands in six years, four League titles on the bounce. Oh yeah, did we mention that they are on a 29game unbeaten run with no end in sight. Rating: 10/10
Discipline:
Diarmuid Connolly’s overturning of his red card last year left a sour taste, but not quite as bad as Philly McMahon’s eye-gouge on Kieran Donaghy, while there have been two highprofile ‘biting’ incidents. Rating: 4/10
Strength in depth:
Few teams have used the bench to such lethal effect, we would go with a perfect 10 but we suspect that there is even better to come. Rating: 9/10
Star quality:
They possess in Stephen Cluxton the best goalkeeper of all time, while Diarmuid Connolly and Bernard Brogan are two of the most thrilling forwards of the modern age.
With Jack McCaffery, Ciaran Kilkenny and Brian Fenton yet to reach their full potential, they will continue to blind.
Rating: 8/10
