Jay ‘two left feet’ Duffy isn’t ruling out dancefloor
ACTOR-turned-model Jay Duffy may be about to hit Irish screens with his new movie Handsome Devil – but he wouldn’t rule out hitting the dancefloor.
The 20-year-old son of Keith Duffy has admitted to having ‘two left feet’, but he’d consider treading the dancefloor if asked to compete in next year’s Dancing With The Stars.
Speaking to the Irish Mail on Sunday this week, Jay said: ‘I’m afraid I have two left feet, I’m really bad. I can pull out some moves after a few drinks but that’s as good as it gets.
‘If I were asked to take part, I’d have to think strongly about it, but absolutely if they came looking, then I’d absolutely think about it. But I do come with a warning that a lot of work would be needed, seeing the standard that was out there this year.’
Jay is nominated in the VIP Style Awards this year, which take place Friday night in the Marker Hotel in Dublin. Alongside the other nominees, Jay is up against Dayl Cronin, Conor McGregor, and his own father, former Boyzone singer Keith Duffy.
‘There is some good competition in the category. Apart from my dad obviously, who has had some good and bad fashion sense over the years, I’m up against the likes of Conor McGregor.
‘Obviously, I would love to win and there is a bit if friendly banter between myself and my dad over who is going to win, but honestly, I’m just thrilled to be nominated.
The actor’s new movie Handsome Devil hits Irish screens on April 21 and it’s sure to be another hit for the young actor, who formerly had a starring role in British soap Hollyoaks.
