I don’t speak to Brian (and I don’t speak about him) says Vogue

TV presenter Vogue Williams no longer talks to her estranged husband, Brian McFadden.

In an interview with the Irish Mail on Sunday she preferred to talk about her work, and briefly touched on her new romance with Spencer Matthews, whose brother is due to marry Pippa Middleton later this month.

Vogue split from McFadden in 2015 but the pair maintained a friendship, even sharing a house in Britain for a period.

But when asked this week if the pair had divorced, Vogue – who was in Dublin to help launch Sky’s online streaming service Now TV this week – told the MoS: ‘I don’t speak to him and I don’t speak about him.’

In March, singer McFadden, 36, appeared to shed light on their then relationship when he told OK Magazine, ‘It’s very difficult to remain friends unless you’ve got children.

‘I think it’s pointless as it’s going to get in the way of you having a future with other people.’

After those comments emerged, Vogue tweeted: ‘Really wish certain people would stop discussing me publicly, throwing in a few lies too.’

Vogue was happier discussing her new man, reality TV star Spencer Matthews, who made his name on Made In Chelsea. When asked what she most liked about him, she said: ‘He’s great fun. That’s why I like him.’

This week she swatted off rumours that their relationship is a ‘showmance’ and explained why she would never stand for an open relationship.

Addressing Matthews’ reputation as a ladies’ man, she said, ‘Spencer has a reputation and people are waiting to catch him out over things that are not really going to happen,’ she said. ‘I never understood how people could have a “showmance” because it’s really hard to fake something like that. I wouldn’t be able to fake something like that.

‘It’s definitely not [an open relationship]. I’d never be able to have an open relationship. What’s the point?’

She’s off to Ibiza for filming on Getaways, RTÉ’s travel show, and will return with another series of documentary series Vogue Investigates.
