It’s a Bluetiful Day

BONO spurned the opportunity to sing the national anthem ahead of last night’s Conor McGregor fight in Las Vegas, opting instead to watch his old friend Paul McGuinness give away his daughter, Alexandra.

Proud father McGuinness sported a royal blue suit while Alexandra looked elegant in her flowing gown and long veil, surrounded by flower girls dressed in ivory.

The bride walked up the aisle to marry American actor Blake Berris at a ceremony at Nun’s Cross Church in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. Blake – who plays Nick Fallon on US TV show Days of Our Lives – also starred in Pretty Little Liars.

Bono and The Edge broke off from U2 obligations to be with the legendary rock manager on his daughter’s big day.

Looking on from the aisles, Bono, dressed in black and wearing his trademark sunglasses, was accompanied by his wife Ali Hewson. The Edge looked sharp in a blue suit and white shirt, with his everpresent beanie on his head.

The wedding reception took place at Mr McGuinness’s home in Annamoe.

Meanwhile, with Bono otherwise engaged, Imelda May was given the chance to show her talent to a massive worldwide audience in Las Vegas.
