Brighton look to boost striking op­tions with £12m bid for Zo­hore

BRIGHTON have of­fered £12mil­lion for Cardiff City striker Ken­neth Zo­hore. The Premier League side had a £9m bid re­jected last week while Hull City of­fered £11m but Cardiff want dou­ble that for Zo­hore (above). Brighton, who are man­aged by former Repub­lic of Ire­land in­ter­na­tional Chris Hughton, have con­sid­ered a num­ber of for­ward op­tions in­clud­ing Ever­ton’s Ou­mar Ni­asse and Liver­pool pair Divock Origi and Danny Ings. They are also cur­rently in talks to sign former Tot­ten­ham goal­keeper Pau Lopez from Es­panyol. Lopez spent last sea­son on loan at Tot­ten­ham and is hop­ing to con­clude a per­ma­nent deal.
