THE infamous video of Conor McGregor throwing money at strippers was shot and uploaded by two convicted drug dealers, the Irish Mail on Sunday can exclusively reveal.

Criminals Jonathan Murray and his brother Andrew were in McGregor’s company at the Fashion Awards in London where he was photographed cosying up to singer Rita Ora on their so-called ‘date night’.

McGregor was later accused of being disrespectful to partner Dee Devlin, with whom he has been in a relationship for nine years.

The brothers then partied with him at the exclusive celebrity spot, Cirque Le Soir nightclub.

McGregor – who has a young son with partner Dee – can been seen in the lewd footage throwing money at ‘hostesses’ as they gyrate in front of him, while Jonathan Murray smacks the girls on their backsides.

The MoS has learned that Jonathan, 27, was jailed for his part in a ‘sickening’ attack on a man in 2012, and also has 48 previous convictions – including four for drug dealing.

Jonathan, who is a friend of Crumlin gangster Ian ‘Mad Dog’ Maloney, was jailed for 18 months after being convicted of landing a kick on a man as he lay unconscious on the ground. Murray, of Downpatrick Road, Crumlin, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to Joseph O’Brien in Charlie’s Restaurant on Dame Street, on January 4, 2009.

The incident occurred over a personal grudge between ‘Mad Dog’ and his victim.

‘Mad Dog’ – who is serving a 12year sentence for a €1.2million armed robbery of Paul Sheeran Jewellers in Dundrum Town Centre in 2008 – kicked and stamped on Joseph O’Brien’s head as he lay on the ground.

There was a loud gasp from onlookers at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court when CCTV footage showed Mr O’Brien being hit across the back of the head by one of Maloney’s friends.

He fell to the ground and Maloney, 29, repeatedly kicked him in the head as he lay semi-conscious.

Jonathan Murray then kicked the victim once before the group fled.

Keith Spencer BL, defending Murray, said that his client had been addicted to cocaine but is now drugfree.

His counsel said he was in the army at the time, but had since discharged himself on medical grounds.

Judge Martin Nolan jailed Jonathan Murray for 18 months after refusing to accept that he should not be held responsible for Mr O’Brien’s injuries.

Jonathan’s brother, Andrew, also from Downpatrick Road, Crumlin, has 18 previous convictions which include possession of drugs for sale or supply.

Andrew was photographed giving the middle finger to the camera after he was convicted of unlawfully possessing drugs in 2014.

He had faced a charge for unlawfully possessing Temazepam tablets. Andrew is a former boyfriend of Zoe Whelan, a fitness blogger and ex-girlfriend of singer Niall Horan.

Charges for cannabis possession against Ms Whelan were dismissed after Murray took responsibility for the offence.

Detective Garda Brian Norton gave evidence in the case against Andrew Murray and told the court that a warrant was obtained to carry out a search operation which resulted in the seizure of a small quantity of tablets and cannabis resin.

‘The cannabis resin... initially Ms Whelan, his girlfriend, said that she owned it, and Mr Murray took responsibility for the tablets,’ he said. However, Detective Garda Norton added that Mr Murray had later taken responsibility for the cannabis as well as the 12 tablets recovered.

The court heard that the cannabis was worth €20.

It also heard that Andrew Murray already had 18 prior criminal convictions.

These included possessing drugs for sale or supply, theft, giving a false name and address, failing to give a breath sample, forgery and public order offences.

The court was told that he is a plasterer, who had previously been in the armed forces, but is not working at present.

Defence solicitor Richard Young told the court that his client accepted that he had been in possession of the cannabis at the time.

He had been using the drug after suffering an injury which left him with a scar and makes it difficult for him to speak, the lawyer said.

Murray had earlier been involved in an horrific knife attack.

He was sliced across the face in a ‘Glasgow Smile’style attack, as well as being cut on his arms, legs and stomach.

The attack happened at Ave Maria Road in the Coombe. Detectives from Kevin Street Garda station were on the scene of the attack within minutes.

The Murray brothers feature prominently on Conor McGregor’s social media feed.

And, likewise, McGregor is a mainstay on both brothers’ Instagram as they party around the globe in style together – in Las Vegas,

New York and London. All of their nights out, and days in spent lounging around McGregor’s comfy pads around the world, have been documented on their respective Instagram feeds.

The brothers also enjoy the largesse of millionaire McGregor as they enjoy mile-high travel by private jet to their party destinations. They have also been spotted being chauffeured in a Rolls Royce Phantom, driving a Ferrari, and going all ‘gangsta’ in blacked-out SUVs. Their children are also pictured on their profiles, and McGregor posed with Andy’s two daughters at his own son’s recent christening at Luttrellstown Castle. Despite travelling the world in style, the brothers seem determined to celebrate their Crumlin roots, and posted a body building picture captioned ‘Crumlin Heads’. They are also rivalling McGregor in the style stakes with their designer gear – from Prada trainers to Gucci man bags, and tight slogan tee-shirts.

However, they may have missed the style memo when they pitched up for the exclusive celebrity-stacked Fashion Awards in London last Monday. McGregor wore one of his own-brand McGregor suits, but the Murray boys togged out in jumpers and jeans as they posed up a storm on the red carpet.

Mr McGregor’s lawyer declined to comment when contacted by the Irish Mail on Sunday last night.

When the Murray brothers were contacted last night, Andrew suggested that we publish an alternative photograph of himself with McGregor, which he provided.
