IF you’ve ever thought David Norris might be for the birds, that Lorraine Keane could have a passion for fashion – or that TV would feature in Eoghan McDermott’s life, then all those preconceived notions will be proven 100% true when you tune into you RTÉ’s celebrity version of Home Of The Year this week!
Senator Norris, TV presenter Lorraine and RTÉ DJ, McDermott are just three of the well-known figures from Irish life who welcomed the RTÉ cameras into their homes for an armchair root around.

Dublin Bay (Lorraine); and chill out in front of jumbo TVs (McDermott), there’s an inspiration for everyone in the audience. The show also gives us a peek inside the abodes of author Melissa Hill and rugby star Mike Ross and provide insights into the person behind the image.
For the record, Norris lives in a period home in Dublin’s north inner city, surrounding himself with design features that could have come straight out of a period movie. Lorraine unsurprisingly lives in a vibrant yet stylish family home that is light and airy. And those expecting a bachelor pad from DJ McDermott will be disappointed: the influence of girlfriend Aoife Melia is evident in several chic touches. Celebrity Home Of The Year, airs at 9.35pm on RTÉ One this Tuesday.
