Head2Toe’s Pat seeks First Date

- By Niamh Walsh SHOWBUSINESS EDITOR

IT’S second chances on this week’s First Dates Ireland as veteran TV host Pat O’Mahony switches dating apps for the blind date show.

Viewers may recognise O’Mahony – who lived in London for more than 11 years – from RTÉ’s Head2Toe in the Eighties and Nineties.

He returned to Ireland a few years ago but found that the dating landscape had changed considerably.

‘I use the online apps but I’m the wrong age for that… and my mates are married, have kids, commitments, so I don’t go out as much as I used to,’ he said, explaining why he decided to go on the hit show.

Viewers might also recognise his date Gemma from the first series of First Dates. O’Mahony wasn’t giving too much away about their date – only saying the pair hit it off in the restaurant.
