Varadkar’s cringey Twitter message... just sayin’

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar took a break from packing for a trip to the Us to defend his Government’s recent performance on his favoured medium, Twitter.

The highlight of Mr Varadkar’s trip to the Us will be his first meeting with Us president Donald Trump, also an active Twitter user, at the White house. Meanwhile, on RTÉ Radio one’s saturday with cormac Ó headhra show yesterday, ex-Fine Gael leader alan Dukes said: ‘Politicians should stay off Twitter because they make fools of themselves on it, up to and including President Trump.’
