LIFE’S A SCOOT WITH LOOMO

The original Segway two-wheel electric scooter captured the imagination of a whole generation of nerds. Now, the American company is launching a new scooter that is looking to capture new fans of all ages. It’s a two-wheeled self-balancing scooter that can travel with you on it, at 18kmph for over 20km. The Loomo is more than just a new scooter though. It uses Artificial Intelligence for features like auto-follow, so it will happily trot along behind you, maybe with the shopping on board. As well as that, it has a playful personality and can learn new facial expressions. It records video and will even be able to check the front door for you when the doorbell rings. The Loomo has its own app, of course, that allows even novices to teach it new tricks. The fun little bot is being crowd-funded on Indiegogo and will sell for around €1,200.
