The Best In Show is chosen – though for sheer cuteness, Scruffts on Friday at 8pm, also on C4, might be a better bet as it picks Britain’s best crossbreed. It’s a mutt-see.

Grow, Cook, Eat RTÉ One, Wed, 7pm

Thankfully not another drippy movie with Julia Roberts, this is aimed at GIY aficionados – that’s Grow It Yourself, in case you didn’t know. Rather stereotypically, it starts with potatoes.
