While some women can afford to travel abroad to access abortion services, women from poor economic backgrounds cannot.

Having to travel abroad has a damaging effect on a woman’s mental health, causes huge distress and leads to poorer aftercare.

The Government should trust a woman to make the right decision about her pregnancy and choices surrounding her life and family.

Women with a diagnosis of fatal foetal abnormalities or who are victims of incest or rape should have access to safe options here.
