The problem with getting your home equipped with smart technology is that you often need a gadget, for each individual task. Those days might be over as Oval Digital have just launched their allin-one smart sensor on Kickstarter. This clever little piece of tech monitors and detects changes in motion, temperature, light, humidity and even the presence of water. It will then send you a notification via phone or email so you know exactly what’s going on back home.
In the case of home security, Oval can alert users if doors, windows, private or dangerous items are accessed. It can also detect the presence of water from bad weather, leaking pipes or a leaking washing machine.
The smart sensor will also monitor the temperature and humidity of an area of the home or office where food, medicine, or plants are kept It ca n also help conserve energy and save money on heating and electric bills.
This is the second version of Oval and it can now connect to popular smart home hubs like Amazon Echo and Google Home. That means you’ll be able to ask Alexa what the temperature is in the baby’s room, or be notified by Google if there’s water in the kitchen.
