It’s a huge yes for Bláithín’s No Means No
SINGER Bláithín Carney was enjoying the summer sun in Kildare last weekend as she debuted her new single, No Means No. Bláithín, 35, took to the stage with her band and string quartet on the final day of the Midsummer Arts Festival last Sunday to launch the song, which stormed the charts to debut at No.3 on Friday. No Means No is the follow-up to her chart-topping previous offerings, debut single Rome, which knocked Ed Sheeran off the top spot, and Close My Eyes. The singersongwriter, pictured, has much to celebrate as she was once diagnosed with fibromyalgia, the same illness that struck down Lady Gaga, and was told she would never play the piano again. But she embarked on a regime of pilates as well as a strict diet, surprising her doctors by overcoming the crippling disease. ‘I was utterly determined to cure myself,’ she told the Diary.
