Daltrey: Write a memoir? I can’t recall my life
THE Who’s Roger Daltrey has revealed the biggest problem to writing his autobiography – he can’t remember parts of his life.
The 74-year-old singer said: ‘The scariest thing about the memoir is that I have had four serious concussions in my life. There are huge gaps and I wonder why. But there is no wonder why.’
The worst incident was in 1996, when he was knocked unconscious with a microphone stand by Gary Glitter in rehearsals for a performance of the band’s rock opera Quadrophenia in Hyde Park.
He said: ‘I broke my eye socket. I was out for 20 minutes. I did the show with a patch holding my eye in. That is a little bit concerning.’
