Phones strike wrong tone

THE crowds at Ballyliffin are enthusiastic, a tad overly so at times, as Rory McIlroy found out yesterday. McIlroy (right) had to back off his drive on the eighth twice as phones pinged behind him. He was irked but it didn’t prevent him from unleashing a 350-yard corker across the corner of the dog-leg.
