Meet the Faltrows... Gwynnie and husband Brad Falchuk reveal their ‘couple name’

- By Robbie Griffiths

WHEN you’ve already ‘consciously uncoupled’ and gushed about how your heart skips a beat when you see a flowering zucchini plant, it’s pretty hard to make yourself seem even more ridiculously pretentious.

But Gwyneth Paltrow’s capacity for peculiar behaviour should never be underestimated.

The Mail on Sunday can reveal that the actress and her new husband Brad Falchuk are now describing themselves as the Faltrows.

The blended surname featured on a special email address set up to receive RSVPs from friends and relatives ahead of the couple’s wedding in New York’s exclusive Hamptons last weekend.

Guests including Robert Downey Jr, Steven Spielberg, Jerry Seinfeld and Cameron Diaz were each asked to bring three outfits – beach chic, golf chic and cocktail attire – but to leave their mobile phones at home.

Actress Paltrow, 46 – who has two children with Coldplay singer Chris Martin before they ‘consciously uncoupled’ in 2014 – met Mr Falchuk, 47, when she appeared on Glee, the US TV series that he co-created. He also has two children from a previous marriage.

Paltrow, whose controversial Goop lifestyle brand has promoted products including a vaginal steaming spa treatment and a coffee enema device, was soon eulogising about her marriage in her inimitable fashion. ‘I think that marriage is a really beautiful, noble and worthwhile institution, pursuit and endeavour,’ she told Marie Claire magazine. ‘I don’t think you get married and that’s it – I think it’s the beginning. You create this third entity, this third being that you have to nourish and look after.’

She added, in more conventional terms: ‘I’m very much the marrying kind. I love being a wife. I love making a home.’
