Jen takes swipes at Casey
RTÉ star Jennifer Zamparelli is the latest celebrity to clash with presidential runner-up Peter Casey.
Mr Casey has become a divisive figure over his remarks about Travellers during the campaign.
The pair appeared on RTÉ’s Late Late Show on Friday night. Ms Zamparelli, the new host of Dancing With The Stars, took a swipe at Mr Casey as soon as she sat down. ‘Thanks for having me on such a great line up,’ she told host Ryan Tubridy, ‘such lovely people and Peter Casey. He’s in the green room just up all the snacks, very good at that.’ She later tweeted that Mr Casey didn’t know the meaning of direct provision – Ireland’s programme for asylum seekers and refugees.
Two hours later, Mr Casey hit back, saying: ‘This did not happen Jennifer.’
