Yes, Gwynnie, you deserve praise... this one time

At long last, it must be said that some credit is due to Gwyneth Paltrow, who rarely gets praised for anything what with all the nonsense on her Goop website and the vaginal steaming and the generally being a bit barking.

Paltrow is now 46, and although she has not yet entered the menopause, she says she’s beginning to feel its effects – albeit not all that convincingly. She claims to sweat a little more than she used to, which could be just the result of being mocked and lambasted all the time. And she also says she gets ‘all of a sudden furious for no reason’, to which I say: ‘Welcome to the club, sister. I’ve had that symptom since I was 20.’

To counteract these effects, Paltrow’s Goop has concocted a vitamin supplement containing herbs and fish oils and all the rest. And she’s called it Madame Ovary. It might not be all that original but it’s good. Have a biscuit, Gwyneth.
